Tree is a Vietnam Vet living (squatting) on the St. Johns.  He is a true steward of the river as he picks up garbage on its shores deposited by careless airboaters.

This was the first time I saw Tree...lost in Puzzle lake.  I was on a scouting trip with Dean Campbell and his kayaking group.

Tree always wears his lifevest while travelling in his boat.
